Graduating high school, I had no idea what career I wanted to pursue. I went to Diablo Valley College in San Ramon to try to get some of my general education requirements completed. But being at DVC felt as if I was still in high school.
I’ve always wanted to go to a trade school where I could focus on what I would be doing in my work, rather than taking other classes that I had to pass just to get to where I needed to be.
Growing up, I thought I had to go to college to be successful in life. Then I found Cinta Aveda! What I love about this school is that they have more advanced courses, such as the CIDESCO program that I am currently enrolled in. I love the fact that I can travel with that license and that it gives me more education, and in depth studies and product knowledge.
So far, I am in the esthetician phase and I love it! All the students here are so involved with what we are doing, it helps keep me in tune with everything. I have made so many friends and have met so many people—I can’t wait for where this field is going to take me.
