Coronavirus Aid, Relieve and Economic Security Act
In compliance with the provisions of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) regarding the awarding of emergency funds to students, this page provides information relevant to the CARES Act.
- An acknowledgement that the institution signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement and the assurance that the institution has used, or intends to use, no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.

- The total amount of funds that the institution will receive or has received from the Department pursuant to the institution’s Certification and Agreement [for] Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.

- The total amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants distributed to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act as of the date of submission (i.e., as of the 30-day Report and every 45 days thereafter).
- As of July 19, 2020, we have awarded 68 students and have provided $68,000 of HEERF Funds to students.
- As of October 10, 2020, we have awarded 133 students and have provided $133,000 of HEERF Funds to students.
- As of January 10, 2021, we have awarded 133 students and have provided $133,000 of HEERF Funds to students.
- The estimated total number of students at the institution eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and thus eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.
- There are 185 students eligible to participate based on Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) applications received.
- As of October 10, 2020, we have awarded 133 students and have provided $133,000 to students with the HEERF Funds.

- There are 185 students eligible to participate based on Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) applications received.
- The method(s) used by the institution to determine which students receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants and how much they would receive under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.
- Awarding Criteria: Funding amounts will vary based on the circumstances that may be directly impacting your education, and are not to exceed an amount of $1200, as determined by Cinta Aveda Institute.
- Any instructions, directions, or guidance provided by the institution to students concerning the Emergency Financial Aid Grants.
- Must have been enrolled prior to March 17, 2020
- Students who were on a Leave of Absence and their date of return was after March 17 will be eligible
- Must have completed a FAFSA and be eligible for Title IV Funding*
- Maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)*
- Not owe a refund on grants*
- Not be in default on any student loans*
- Sign a Statement of Educational Purpose*
- Provide documentation of Social Security number*
- Must be a U.S citizen or Permanent Resident*
- Must not have been convicted on Title IV fraud*
- Cannot be enrolled in a full online program*
