One personalized measure uses your weight and a simple formula. Take your weight, in pounds, and subtract a third. The resulting number is the number of ounces of water you need each day. For example, if you weigh 120 pounds, you would need 80 ounces of water. This amount should be adjusted based on how active you are every day.
