The point of Boho curls is to accomplish a style that looks very lived-in rather messy. Surprisingly, achieving a lived-in look requires a fair amount of work!
First, prep your hair with the products and tools listed above. After drying your hair completely, section your hair and prepare to curl it with your hot tool of choice.
If you’re using a Marcel Iron/Wand:
I would suggest wrapping your hair around the barrel, as you would with a wand. Alternate the directions you curl the hair to add a more natural look.
If you’re using a flat iron:
I would suggest using a wand or a Marcel iron. Flat iron curls take a lot of patience and practice. However, if you insist on using one, use it as follows:
After you’ve curled your entire head, let your curls cool. Set them with some hair spray and then lightly brush through the curls.
