Choosing the right blow dryer can make the biggest difference in how fast you can dry and style your hair. Not all blow-dryers are created equal, so here are a 3 tips to consider when investing in a good blow-dryer.
1.) Make sure you are buying something with ceramic or tourmaline technology. Tourmaline is crystal, which helps smooth the hair and fight frizz. It also helps your hair retain moisture.
2.) Wattage! Most people don’t realize the difference between a high and a low wattage blow-dryer, and how a high wattage dryer can make a difference for your hair. 1800 watts is great for thinner hair, however for thicker or frizzy hair you want to look for something with at least 3000. It will cut down the styling time in half and reduce the risk of hair damage.
3.) Attachments! If you like to style your hair at home with your blow-dryer, having a nozzle attachment will make your blow-drys give off that just-stepped-out-of-the-salon look. Or if you have curly hair, a diffuser will give your curls more control and bounce than compared to letting your curls air dry.
And don’t forget, no matter which blow-dryer you end up purchasing, remember to pick one that at least has heat protection!
