Before I began my program, I prided myself on my great beauty routine. I thought I had the perfect combination of products to make my skin look its best.
Then I started Cinta Aveda. I learned that cleansing your face twice a day, applying astringent, and moisturizing in the morning was just the tip of a huge expensive iceberg of skin care products.
During intro I learned the importance of applying a primer to the skin before makeup so the makeup doesn’t absorb into the skin. Then I added a hair oil to help combat frizz. Then there’s a specialized conditioner just for my hair type. Of course, no beauty routine is complete without two forms of exfoliation—chemical and mechanical—so there goes two more products added to my over flowing bathroom. Eye cream is a necessity for everyone, so next that was added. Then there’s a specialized concealer for my dark under-eye circles.
But what should I use to apply that concealer? So I added a fancy extra-fluffy concealer brush. And cleansers—no you can’t just have one, you need three—one for the morning, one for the night, and one to spit treat those problem pimples.
In conclusion, my products went from fitting in a small makeup bag to needing their own shelf in my bathroom.
