- It is possible.
- Accept that it is a process, and be patient!
- Understand that the awkward phases are only temporary!
- Make regular salon visits for clean-up and healthy trims ONLY!
- Don’t give up!
- The back or nape of the head grows hair the fastest, so this will be only part of your hair getting trimmed. Don’t take too much length, if any, off of the front.
- Take biotin supplements, eat healthy & balanced, and exercise. A healthy lifestyle means healthy growing hair!
- Consider the possibility of extensions once your hair reaches a length that is long enough to conceal them.
- Style, style, style! Because hair will seem unflattering and awkward in the grow-out phases, styling is so important! Fake-it till you make it by adding extra volume in the back and perhaps use a flat-iron in the front to make the lengths seem longer.
- Get frequent scalp massages to stimulate blood flow and encourage hair growth!
- Avoid chemically treating your hair. Bleaching, perming, and relaxing hair will only keep breaking your hair and making it impossible for the lengths to match up to each other.
- Invest in some hair accessories like headbands, clips, and barrettes. These are easy embellishments to use that can give you more style and hides some of the unflattering lengths.
